About us...

"Seeking to know God better and to make God better known."

Lavington URC is part of the South Western Synod of the United Reformed Church and forms a joint pastorate under one minister with Bickington URC.

We are a very friendly group of about 50 people who like fairly traditional worship but are always open to new ideas.  We have a few children who form our Junior Church and meet for their own activities every Sunday morning.  From time to time the services are supplemented by a "specially gathered" choir and by our own brass group.  Our services usually consist of hymns, prayers, Bible readings and sermon, led by Ministers or Lay Preachers, but from time to time we enjoy something different such as a 'Songs of Praise'

Every Tuesday, 10am to 1.15pm the Church is open to visitors, when light refreshments and cooked or cold snack lunches can be bought in the hall at very reasonable prices!
We also meet for prayer every Tuesday, 11-11.30am in the Bartlett Room, and anyone who wishes is welcome to come along.

From the first Saturday in May to the last Saturday in September every year the Church is open 10.30am-12.30pm, for visitors to wander in and look round, and have a free cup of tea or coffee and a chat.

Details of all our services and midweek activities for adults and children are in the monthly magazine "Connexions": you can download an edited copy  here, or via the links on the left, or you can obtain a full copy from the Church.  Alternatively please get in touch with us via the details on the Contacts page, or send an email to admin@lavingtonurc.com

We welcome you all.
